Choose a bucking unit by matching a specific machine configuration to your workpiece and connection requirements. Start with the information below, then compare the Shenlida product range and ask our team to confirm the selected configuration.

1. Describe the workpiece

Provide outside diameter, length, weight and connection type. Identify the component being assembled or serviced, such as casing, pipe, a pump or a downhole tool. Include drawings or photographs when the shape or available clamping area needs explanation.

2. State make-up and break-out requirements separately

Provide the torque requirements for your connection and the desired operating speed. Use the relevant model's published ratings. For example, the SLD8026 page lists maximum make-up torque of 150,000 ft·lbs and maximum break-out torque of 190,000 ft·lbs. Those values are not specifications for every bucking unit.

3. Compare complete model specifications

The SLD model tables list size range, torque, flow and speed by model. The YNJ tables distinguish high- and low-gear ratings. Verify all required parameters on the same model rather than combining the largest figures from different columns.

4. Confirm clamping and control options

Explain surface-marking constraints, short clamping distances and unusual workpiece shapes. Confirm the proposed clamping arrangement and whether automatic torque control and records are included or optional. The YNJ description lists automatic torque control as optional; the continuous 360° model describes an equipped automatic system.

5. Review the installation and supplied equipment

Share available workspace, workpiece support needs and site power information. Ask the quotation to identify the hydraulic system, console, supports, rails and optional equipment. A configuration list should be checked against your application, not inferred from a photograph.
